I, Robot opened this weekend with very healthy box office receipts.
Will Smith's turn as an action-hero cop who suspects that
the seemingly-benevolent robots have a sisister agenda
doesn't have much in common with the Asimov classic, but it's still a great action thriller. The original book, a collection of short stories, has just been
reissued by Bantam Spectra and is climbing the bestseller
lists. If you don't know what the
three rules governing robot behavior are, how are you going
to hold up your end of the conversation at cocktail parties?
