One would hope that people would read other books, but apparently children and adults insist on reading the
depressing, miserable books authored by the mysterious Lemony Snicket. The popularity of Lemony Snicket is soaring as the Dec. 17, 2004 release of Lemony Snicket's A Series of
Unfortunate Events, approaches. The movie is a feature film by Paramount, Nickelodeon Movies and DreamWorks based on the bestselling children's book series and starring Jim Carrey.
The movie will probably turn out to be a miserable time for unfortunate Lemony Snicket fans, but if the book sales are any indication the movie will be very popular.
