Reuters reports that a book by Bob Woodward about President Barack Obama will arrive in bookstores in September. The publisher is Simon & Schuster. Woodward has been working on his book about the Obama administration for the past year.
Woodward, who in recent years wrote several bestselling books on former President George W. Bush, has been working on the Obama White House book for more than a year. The book, released initially in the United States, does not yet have a title or print run and no more details were available, said Victoria Meyer, spokeswoman for Simon & Schuster.
An associate editor of The Washington Post newspaper, Woodward is well known for his investigative work with fellow reporter Carl Bernstein that played a key role in forcing President Richard Nixon to resign in 1974 in the Watergate scandal.
Bob Woodward wrote several books on President George W. Bush including Bush at War, Plan of Attack and State of Denial. Woodward's Obama book is already listed on Amazon.com. The book does not yet have a title.
