William Mann to Publish Barbara Streisand Biography
William Mann is writing a Barbara Streisand biography called Hello, Gorgeous: The Beginnings of Barbara Streisand (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt). The biography will be published in fall 2012 to coincide with Streisand's 50th anniversary in show business. The book will cover Streisand's childhood, the birth of her career in Greenwich Village, the recording of her early albums and her stage and screen success.
"As far as I'm concerned, previous books have failed to capture the importance and influence of this woman, her complex personality and the dimensions of her artistic drive," says Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Senior Executive Editor, George Hodgman.
