Variety reports that Ridley Scott will direct and produce a film based on Shadow Divers, the bestselling book by Robert Kurson. William Broyles will be adapting the book for the big screen. Shadow Divers tells the story of the two weekend scuba divers who discovered a sunken World War II German U-boat sixty mile off the coast of New Jersey and spent years trying to solve the mystery of what happened to the boat and killed its crew.
