Life in 1535 Scotland was brutal, with warring clans

struck unconscious, but is rescued by a mysterious
warrior known only as Hunter, who later disappears.
Determined to track down the warrior who saved him,
MacGowan does find Hunter, but is in for the shock of
his life when he finds out she is a woman. Hunter, or Rhona
as she is really named, is
a complex woman who has dressed the part of a man
for years and Lachlan is determined to get to the bottom
of the mystery. But it seems that Rhona has other secrets
to hide: she may also be a traitor on a deadly mission.
Lachlan has no intention of just letting Rhona
travel without him. And the passions that
flare between Rhona and Lachlan only complicate matters
in an already dangerous situation.
Warrior Bride is the third entry in the popular Highland Rogues series, and it may well be the best book yet. Ms. Greiman populates her tales with a vivid cast of secondary characters, which help round out the story. There is intrigue (16th century politics are complicated), passion and humor which make for another wonderful entry in this series that historical romance fans will surely enjoy.
