Written well before the events of September 11th, Magic Time shows a New York City which is devastated by a vicious attack from an invisible enemy which readers will find very disturbing indeed, especially with current news reports of Al Queda attempting to obtain suitcase nukes. Zicree who is a well-known television writer, writes in a fast-paced, episodic style. The idea of the Source is interesting, and is sure to be explored more in future books.
