HarperCollins has announced it will publish Jimmy Connors; autobiography. The book is scheduled to be published in June, 2012 to coincide with Connors’s 60th birthday and the 30th anniversary of his last Wimbledon title.
Connors says, "A lot has been written about me, my family, my on-court behavior and my off-court life. Some of it is true, a lot of it is bullshit, and none of it is by me. This book is going to change that. People may think they know Jimmy Connors. They don't, but they will after they have read my book.”
Some of the subject Connors will address in his memoir include:
- His engagement to Chris Evert.
- His rivalry with John McEnroe, which the British press once dubbed "Brat vs. Super Brat."
- His close, but complicated relationship with his late mother Gloria.
