Jason Segel to Publish Children's Book Series With Random House

Jason Segel has cut a book deal with Random House Children's Books for a new middle-grade book series. The series, called Nightmares, is written with New York Times bestselling author Kirsten Miller.

Nightmares follows a group of kids who realize it is up to them to save their town from fear. Fear has manifested itself in the form of nightmare creatures that have slipped into the everyday world.

Segel said in a statement, "I couldn't be more excited that Nightmares! has found a home at Random House. Ultimately, it's a story about learning that we can accomplish anything, as long as we are brave enough to try. These are the types of stories that always inspired me."

Segel has written, starred in, produced, or written and performed songs for films including The Muppets, Jeff Who Lives at Home, The Five-Year Engagement, I Love You, Man and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
