Rick Riordan's The Serpent's Shadow Gets 2 Million Copy First Printing

Disney Publishing Worldwide (DPW) has announced a 2-million-copy first printing for Rick Riordan's The Serpent's Shadow. The book is the third and final book in the Kane Chronicles series. The novel has a national lay down date of May 1, 2012.

Rick Riordan will partake in a live webcast from the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum & Planetarium in San Jose, California, on Tuesday, May 1. The webcast will include a tour of actual Egyptian artifacts, a reading from the new book, and a chance to ask Rick live questions.

Riordan's first enhanced, interactive ebook, The Kane Chronicles Survival Guide - an illustrated guide to the Kane Chronicles series - was released this week on the iPad and Nook.
