Sally Richardson, President and Publisher of St. Martin's Press, said in the announcement, "I could not think of a better way to celebrate the start of the year. Sylvia is a rare talent. We have long been fans, are excited about publishing her, and look forward to a successful (and fun) future together."

Sylvia says of her book deal with St. Martin's, "I'm excited to further develop my existing relationship with Macmillan. The Blacklist duology is a project I am very passionate about, and when the St. Martin's Press team approached me, I was captivated with their presentation. I'm thrilled to be bringing Blacklist to my readers in partnership with publisher Jennifer Enderlin and the dedicated, enthusiastic team at St. Martin's."
