Jeff Kinney Reads From Diary of a Wimpy Kid at 2012 White House Easter Egg Roll

Author Jeff Kinney read from his popular novel, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, at the 2012 White House Easter Egg Roll. The White House has been having authors and celebrities read books at the annual event for the past several years. Kinney was one of several celebrity authors at the annual event. Kinney told the crowd that a lot of the events in the book are based on - or inspired by - things that actually happened to him as a kid. He had his two sons seated next to him at the book reading.
