Academy Award winning actress Reese Witherspoon just inked a deal to narrate teh audiobook version of Harper Lee's highly anticipated novel, Go Set a Watchman.

The book will be released by Caedmon Audio, an imprint of HarperAudio. The novel will be released on July 14, 2015. Sean McManus, the Senior Director of HarperAudio, is extremely happy that he managed to persuade Reese to take on the project. He said, "The publication of Harper Lee's Go Set a Watchman is the literary event of the year, and Reese Witherspoon's extraordinary talent and southern roots make her the perfect narrator."

Reese had this to say about the project, "As a Southerner, it is an honor and privilege to give voice to the Southern characters who inspired my childhood love of reading, Scout and Atticus Finch." Reese is pretty excited about the release of a new Harper Lee novel, saying, "I am eager for readers to be transported to a pivotal time in American history in the manner that only Harper Lee's gorgeous prose can deliver."

We know Reese will do a fabulous job for the project: she is the perfect narrator for what is sure to be a very popular book. Reese is currently doing press for her upcoming comedy with Sofia Vergara, called Hot Pursuit, in which she plays a cop who is assigned to protect Sofia's character, who must testify at the trial of a major drug kingpin. With the cops and bad guys after them they head off on a cross country trip.
