Scholastic has a new partner for its literacy outreach program: R&B superstar and education advocate Usher Raymond IV, better known as Usher. The program is called "Open a World of Possible."

Open a World of Possible is all about promoting reading at home and in the classroom. Having a star like Usher is a big coup for Scholastic. He an amazing singer and dancer, and he is great with kids. Put all that together and it's bound to be a success.

On November 6, 2014, at 1:00 pm ET/12:00 pm CT Usher will host a live webcast called Bigger Than Words about the program. Usher will talk about the importance of books live from Scholastic's headquarters in New York City. He also says he'll sing a little. Teachers and children are encouraged to sign up here to watch the free event.
